Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password or authentication information (including via Sign in with Apple or Google, if used).

Payment information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, you provide payment information to our third-party payment processor (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play, or Stripe). Zenravi does not directly receive or store your full payment card details; we may receive limited information such as transaction status, subscription type, and billing dates.

Usage and preference information

We collect information about how you use the App, including audios played, favorites, listening duration, session frequency, reminders set, and preferences you select (e.g., motivation topics, voice preference).

Support communications

When you contact us for support, we collect your email address, name, and the content of your communication.

Device and technical information

We automatically collect device identifiers, device type, operating system and version, app version, language settings, IP address, and approximate location (derived from IP address).

Information from advertising and analytics partners

We use third-party analytics and advertising services (see Section 7), which may collect information such as device identifiers, advertising IDs, and app usage data on our behalf.

2. Use of personal information

We use your personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the App, including delivering audio content and personalizing recommendations;
  • Create and manage your account and subscription;
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions through our payment processors;
  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, or support requests;
  • Send you reminders, notifications, or promotional communications (where you have consented or as permitted by law);
  • Analyze usage trends to maintain and improve the App;
  • Personalize advertising you may see for Zenravi on third-party platforms;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the App, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Account information is generally retained for as long as your account exists. When no longer needed, we delete or de-identify your information.

3. Sharing of personal information

We may share your personal information with:

Service providers

Third parties that perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, payment processing, customer support tools, email delivery, and analytics. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

Analytics and advertising partners

We work with third-party analytics and advertising platforms (e.g., for app analytics and ad attribution) to understand how users interact with the App and to measure and personalize advertising. These partners may receive device identifiers and usage data.

App store platforms

Apple and Google process your subscription purchases and may share limited transaction information with us as described in their respective privacy policies.

Legal and safety reasons

We may disclose personal information if required by law, such as in response to a subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Zenravi, our users, or others.

Business transfers

If Zenravi is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any material change to how your information is used as a result.

We do not sell your personal information for money. As described above, sharing with advertising partners for purposes such as ad measurement and personalization may be considered a "sale" or "share" under some privacy laws (e.g., CCPA); see Section 5 for your opt-out rights.

4. Data security and retention

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at info@zenravi.app.

5. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access. Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction. Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Deletion. Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., information we must retain for legal or accounting purposes).
  • Portability. Request your information in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Restriction or objection. Request that we limit certain uses of your information, including opting out of personalized advertising.
  • Withdraw consent. Where processing is based on your consent (e.g., marketing emails), you may withdraw it at any time.

To exercise these rights, contact us at info@zenravi.app. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request and will respond within the time required by applicable law (e.g., 30 days under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, or 45 days under the CCPA for California residents).

Quebec residents

As a Quebec-based company, Zenravi is subject to Quebec's privacy law (Law 25). You have the right to access and rectify your personal information, to request that we cease disseminating it or de-index it under certain circumstances, and to lodge a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

California residents (CCPA)

California residents have the rights described above, as well as the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights, and the right to opt out of the "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can manage ad tracking through your device settings (e.g., "Limit Ad Tracking" or "Allow Apps to Request to Track").

EU/UK/EEA residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA or UK, our legal bases for processing include your consent, performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests (such as improving the App and preventing fraud), and compliance with legal obligations. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not intended for individuals under the age of 18 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us at info@zenravi.app and we will take steps to delete that information.

7. Cookies and tracking technologies

The App may use device identifiers, SDKs, and similar tracking technologies for analytics, performance monitoring, and advertising purposes. These may be provided by third parties (such as analytics or advertising networks).

You can control tracking through your device settings, including:

  • On iOS: limiting App Tracking Transparency permissions;
  • On Android: resetting or limiting your advertising ID.

Where required by applicable law, we will request your consent before using non-essential tracking technologies.

8. International users and data transfers

Zenravi is based in Quebec, Canada, and your information is primarily processed and stored in Canada. If you access the App from outside Canada, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Canada or other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers as required by applicable law.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the App, or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email, and will post the updated policy with a new effective date.
